December 2010

I usually get in trouble when I take a few minutes to sit and think. Pondering some of the scenarios that played out this deer season got me to thinking again about recoil and trajectory and bullets and it SNOWBALLS into IDEAS & WHAT IF'S.

Then it becomes a brief obsession and tunnel vision so that I think about little else for a few days.

In the midst of one of these melt downs this week, I stumbled across an article that I will read and re-read for years to come.

While it may not appeal to most, some will agree it should be a "must read" for anyone who enjoys firearms. The article it simply titled "Basic Ballistics" by Anthony G Williams.

It sheds light, intentionally or un-intentionally, on things that should be considered before choosing a caliber for a hunting rifle and at the least, things that should be considered or understood before pulling the trigger.

So Read and Enjoy
